Lions 2023 Golf day event
Cronulla Lions Club, hosted our annual Golf Day with proceeds to be directed to mental health initiatives on Friday 27th October 2023 at the Woolooware Golf Club.
The day was successful with 84 players teeing off and over $13,000 raised.
Our luncheon master of ceremonies was Alan Wilson who as always did an outstanding job. Alan is a regular supporter of the Lions Club and our President Jason Anderson presented Alan with a memento to thank him for his ongoing support.
Alan interviewed our first guest speaker, Luke O’Shea Australian singer/songwriter
and 16-time Golden Guitar winner. Luke spoke of his journey in the music industry
and as a bonus, and performed several of his hit’s songs for us.
Our second guest speaker was the Rev Thomas Schmid
from the Cronulla Baptist Church. Rev Thomas outlined
some of the challenges and the mental health difficulties
being faced by members of the Cronulla community.

About the Cronulla Lions club
Cronulla Lions operate out of the Sutherland Shire, and we provide services to our local and wider community with targeted assistance relating to their needs. We meet twice a month at the Royal Motor Yacht Club at Burraneer.
Our members are made up of retired and working locals. New guests are welcome, Feel free to contact us if you would like a chat about coming along to see what Lions do. Our members are of all ages and we welcome new members.
