Have you seen the great work we do, supporting our commuinty 

Dominic Anthony – Nurse Unit Manager, Brian Cowan - Cronulla Lions Vice President, David Gittus – Cronulla Lions Secretary and Simone Payn – Nursing Midwifery and Operations Director at the official handover of the Babyleo Humicrib on 12 February 2025.​

Cronulla Lions coordinated a Project with the Oatley, Lugano, Kogarah, Blacktown Ponds and Sydney Host Lions Clubs to provide a Babyleo TN500 Humicrib to the Sutherland Hospital Maternity Unit. The Humicrib is leading technology at a cost of $65,000 and was supported by the Australian Lions Foundation who provided a $15,000 grant.​ The Cronulla Lions support a range of local community needs with a wide range of Projects and will continue to be involved in children’s and babies health initiatives.

Simone Payn the Nursing Midwifery and Operations Director said that the new Humicrib will be invaluable to providing the best care for premature babies and peace of mind for their families. She added the new technology is the next best thing to a womb, protects premature babies so they can grow with the combination of three heat sources and has easy workflow benefits with quick and comfortable access to the baby. Ironically, this Humicrib will replace a Humicrib that was at the end of its life cycle that was provided by the Cronulla Lions 10 years ago.

About the Cronulla Lions club

Cronulla Lions operate out of the Sutherland Shire, and we provide services to our local and wider community with targeted assistance relating to their needs. We meet twice a month , email us if you like to join
Our members are made up of retired and working locals. New guests are welcome, Feel free to contact us if you would like a chat about coming along to see what Lions do.  Our members are of all ages and we welcome new members.
